Dr. McGreal is a graduate of Albright College and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He was Chief of Eye Services at Greater Atlantic Health service in Philadelphia, where he also had a private practice. He was a founding partner in Vision Care Consultants, a managed eye care company in Pennsylvania. He was Center Director and Vice President for Vision America Incorporated for seven years. Currently, he is Director of the Missouri Eye Associates, a medical and surgical private practice in St. Louis. He is adjunct faculty at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and the University of Missouri. He is internationally recognized for his educational endeavors. He served on the continuing education committee for the North Central States Optometric Council and is past member of the Congress continuing education subcommittee of the American Optometric Association. He was the 42nd Peter’s Memorial Lecturer at the University of California. He was the Nussenblatt Lecturer at the University of Houston in 2004. He was the 1998 Missouri Optometrist of the Year. He was the 2005 University of Missouri School of Optometry Educator of the Year. He is Director of Education of ODExcellence, a practice improvement company
Leo Semes, OD, FAAO Leo P. Semes, OD, is Professor of Optometry at the UAB School of Optometry. He earned his OD from PCO and completed residency at The Eye Institute of PCO. Dr. Semes has authored or over 220 scientific articles, book chapters and posters. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, as well as an active member of the AOA, chairing the Nutrition and Health Committee. Dr. Semes is a founding member of the Optometric Glaucoma Society and a founding fellow of the Optometric Retina Society. Dr. Christine W. Sindt is a 1994 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry. She completed a disease-based residency at the Cleveland VA Medical Center where she also did subspecialty rotations in low vision and advanced contact lens fitting. Dr Sindt joined the Faculty of the University of Iowa Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences in 1995, where she is Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology and Director of the Contact Lens Service. Dr Sindt is a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry. She is the 2010-2011 AOA CLCS Chair, Past President of Women of Vision, the Past President and co-founder of the Scleral Lens Education Society and the designer and founder of EyePrint Prosthetics Custom Impression Scleral lens technology.
